 is a FREE program for qualified veterans, designed to motivate and assist veterans in the development of academic and other requisite skills necessary for acceptance and success in a program of post-secondary education. Our grant from the Department of Education is to provide this FREE service for 135 veterans per year in Dallas and Tarrant County. The primary goal of the program is to increase the rate at which participants enroll in and complete post-secondary education programs. www.uta.edu/veteransub 

 The Veteran Service Office is an advocate agency established to assist veterans and/or their survivors obtain entitled benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the State of Texas. For more information click here.

 Tarrant Co. Bar Association Chapter offers free (pro bono) legal advice for low income veterans and spouses of deceased veterans. Appointments are required to participate, call the TCBA TLTV Liaison to schedule an appointment at 817-546-4460. The phone lines will be closed once all of the appointment slots are filled. If all appointment times are filled the phone lines will re-open on the 1st business day of the next month at 9:00 A.M. for new appointments. For more information, click here. 

 The Veterans Court Diversion Program is a diversion program for Justice Involved Veterans (JIV) who are currently facing prosecution for one or more criminal cases. The program offers offenders a treatment option that is judicially supervised. It is designed to divert JIV out of the traditional criminal justice process and into appropriate rehabilitative alternatives. Once the JIV has been screened, assessed, and approved for participation in the program, he/she will promptly begin a treatment regimen that is specific to his/her needs.Our mission is to successfully habilitate the JIV by diverting them from the traditional criminal justice system and providing them with the tools they need to lead a productive and law-abiding lifestyle while improving mental health recovery and successful re-entry into the community.For questions or additional information, please call the Veterans Court Diversion Program office at: 817-884-3225 or email to: VeteransCourt@tarrantcounty.com. 

 Tarrant County Reentry Resource Directory is a directory designed specifically for previously incarcerated citizens returning to Tarrant County, this includes veterans who have been touched by the criminal justice system.
This reentry-friendly website has been created to provide resources for individuals, their families, and the professionals assisting them to achieve successful reentry to Tarrant County.
